Beer, Brunch & Yoga... Not Necessarily in that Order

Ready to shake up your workout routine this summer, and combine all of your favorite things? Thats what my hubby and I did last weekend, when we took Susan Kasko's Summer Yoga & Brunch class at North Pier Brewing Co.

For a sleepy little beach town, St. Joseph Michigan never ceases to surprise and delight me with the endlessly entertaining summer yoga options. I've done SUP yoga, Beach yoga, Acro yoga, Aerial yoga, Goat yoga, Yin yoga, Hot yoga... and now Beer, Brunch and yoga! Can't wait to see what they come up with next.

For me, there is no more enjoyable way to do yoga than outside on a sunny day, and this opportunity did not disappoint! Susan's class was the perfect mixture of relaxing stretches combined with challenging holds. She caters well to beginner and intermediate yogis, with a full range of postures that you can make harder or easier, depending on how you choose to modify. North Pier's patio was the perfect spot for a sunshine drenched savasana, and the yoga workout was just hard enough to make my crisp Huntsman cider taste extra delicious!

Want to try it for yourself? The next class happens on Sunday, August 25, 10:00am at North Pier. Grab your favorite pair of yoga pants, your favorite person, and your favorite sunglasses. (I have a thing for Costas, in case you were wondering. They don't slide down your nose when no matter how sweaty you are in your down dog!)

Mats available for anyone who needs them. Cost is only $25 per person, including the beer and a delicious brunch! See you on the mat!
